PlantOpsis™ DirectPCR-A and DirectPCR-B are formulated differently. One may be better suited for your specific applications and sample type. We recommend purchasing a 1 mL sample vial of each for validation and optimization purposes.

Why is direct PCR difficult? 

​Clinical, soil and plant samples contain distinct classes of molecules that interfere with the detection of DNA / RNA through PCR. These PCR inhibitors vary in concentration, are not easily removed and negatively affect numerous steps in PCR. In addition, nucleic acids are often not accessible with certain direct PCR approaches.
